I’m Ready to Sell My House, How Do I Start?

The process of selling a home can be broken down into in to these simple terms.

Here is a check list for the home seller.

  • Clean and de-clutter

  • Make rooms look larger and brighter by eliminating over-sized furniture.

  • Remove anything that doesn’t fit a room’s purpose like exercise equipment in the office.

  • When cleaning, don’t forget to do the window treatments, rugs and carpets and wash the windows.

  • Improve curb appeal.

  • Give the landscaping a good cleaning and pruning.  Paint the front door.

  • Consider staging the home instead of showing vacant.

  • Make necessary repairs.  Have the home professionally inspected before putting it on the market to avoid problems in escrow.

  • Hire an agent familiar with your area and that works for a major Brokerage Firm.

For a free market evaluation including how to prepare your home and what it’s value is, call Jack Lees at 818 262-0924.  I’m here to help.
